We know nothing lasts forever. It was a bittersweat week in Orlando, knowing it would be the last time we were setting up at the FUN show. The activity there can only be described as non-stop! We arrived on Tuesday afternoon, checked into our hotel and met with our number #1 dealer who made a significant dent in our inventory.
On Wednesday morning dealer #2 came to our room and the selling continued. Dealer set-up started that day at 2:00, and we had arranged to meet dealer #3 at 3:00 at our table. Before we were completely set-up two other dealers stopped by and made purchases. By 6:00 we were exhausted and more than 40% of our inventory was GONE!
So by the time the public stormed the bourse floor on Thursday we displayed 3, rather than 4 cases, each of which were partially filled .
Needless to say the show was a great success, fueled in part by the surge in gold and silver prices. We have thoroughly enjoyed our years at FUN, and our location at table 423. We'll miss many of the friends we made there and, who knows, perhaps we'll return some day. You never know.
